As I was leaving the offices of Columbia Insurance Group, I noticed a board with a list of August birthdays for it’s staff.
This struck me as a nice gesture. It’s a simple way to let your people know their special day is important enough to your business that you want everyone (staff, customers, vendors) to know.
Find & implement enough of these small gestures of respect and you’ll likely develop a happy culture within your organization.
I recall that Plaza Real Estate has a similar board. Especially nice touch since most real estate professionals are independent contractors, not employees.
